2016

Vinted, one of the most successful Baltic startups, selected six promising products to take part at the LOGIN Startup Fair after a pitch competition at their headquarters. The winners are: XSense, kindervibe, Sidewalk, Wifigo, Farmis, and Teampact.

Vinted, the social pre-loved fashion marketplace that raised €50M from investors such as Accel Partners, Hubert Burda Media and Insight Venture Partners, is widely considered to be one of the most successful startups in Lithuania and the Baltics. Its founders say they feel committed to the local startup ecosystem and wants to help it to grow. For this reason, Vinted launched a startup battle at its headquarters to claim six spots at the LOGIN Startup Fair.

“When I first met Justas Janauskas, Vinted’s co-founder, I really wanted to talk to him, but he said he didn’t need an investment. I was still eager to talk to him and saw their growth potential. Eventually, Justas agreed to talk, but he was not thinking of investment at that stage, all I saw was a great passion for their idea. So after our first meeting I was sure they will give 200% to accomplish their idea. Thus, when you pitch, don’t think about the money of investment, you must be passionate about what you are doing. If you are, the success will definitely come”, – Mantas Mikuckas, Vinted’s initial angel investor, opened the startup battle 13 companies participated at.

The jury consisted of the members of Vinted top and middle management: Mantas Mikuckas (COO), Milda Mitkutė (co-founder), Mindaugas Mozūras (head of engineering), Tautvydas Gylys (product manager) and Mindaugas Jankauskas (product manager).

They selected the following winners:

  • Xsense. It’s a device designed to work between the mind and sound synthesis. The wearer's brainwaves are being measured with an implemented EEG sensor and translated into a mild electronic soundscape;

  • kindervibe, an application for mobile phones, tablets and computers that enables the sharing of information with parents of preschoolers in a comfortable and modern way;

  • Sidewalk, a self-driving city robot for "last mile" delivery;

  • Wifigo, a smart wifi hotspot with marketing and analytics opportunities for businesses;

  • Farmis, a farm management application that helps to control farm employees, farm fleet, supplie warehouse, grain stock. Also it will help you monitor the latest grain prices, rainfall radar, receive alerts, track equipment, and use online agronomist assistance;

  • Teampact, a communication platform that keeps different teams in your company informed about key decisions, changes and updates.

Congratulations to the winners and thanks to everyone who came to pitch – you are all great, so never give up! See you at the LOGIN Startup Fair!
