Hacker Games Coming Back to Kaunas on March 10-12!
2017
Feb 14

Remember the smart greenhouse, a suicide prevention app, an employee onboarding software or a smart door lock? These and 38 more projects were built at the record 250-strong Kaunas’ edition of the Hacker Games nearly a year ago. And guess what? The games are back, mark the dates: March 10-12 at KTU’s Santaka Valley.

Here’s our quick guide through the upcoming games.

How will it work?

First, you need to register. Hacker Games: Kaunas are free to attend, you will even be provided with food, snacks, drinks and some goodies.

You should bring either an idea or some skills to the Hacker Games. Usually, developers, engineers, designers, marketers and business developers make up the largest part of hackathon attendees, however, we welcome all kinds of creative minds.

On Friday, you will be presenting your ideas and forming teams on the main stage. Ideally, you should prepare one slide explaining what you want to build during the weekend. While on stage, say what you want to build and what team members you’re looking for. Find more tips on good hackathon pitching here.

When you have your team formed, you can start working. Staying overnight is allowed. Mentoring will take place on Saturday. Final pitches will take place Sunday afternoon. Only projects made from scratch will be eligible for prizes.
