Crowdfunding Platform AppStretch Went Live
2016
May 12

AdDuplex, a Vilnius-based cross-promotion network for Windows apps, launched a new AppStrech service that enables independent app developers to improve and monetize products through their most loyal fans.

AppStretch helps developers crowdsource feature ideas for their apps and games, crowdfund the development of these features and crowd-promote their availability, company's press release states. Developers direct users to AppStretch where they can propose new features and vote on the existing proposals by pledging support with either money or promotion over their social network accounts. Based on those feature requests, or their own ideas, developers can create crowdfunding campaigns to collect funding or social support for the implementation.

“App stores have been in a race to the bottom for the past 5 years,” says Alan Mendelevich, AdDuplex’ CEO, “and it’s getting harder and harder for independent app and game developers to compete with huge companies in this environment. That’s the main reason why we decided to create a system to help strengthen the ties between developers and their most loyal fans to enable creation of better products while derisking implementation investments for developers.”

AppStretch is live now at appstretch.com and available to developers of apps and games in iOS and Mac App Store, Google Play and Windows Store, and app users from all over the world. Support for other app stores is planned for the near future.

AppStrech have secured seed funding and took part in last week's LOGIN Startup Fair.
