Barclays Launched Its Rise Platform in Vilnius

Barclays bank has launched Rise Vilnius – a platform and a 550 sq. m physical site for fintech startups in downtown Vilnius.

Rise Vilnius has more than 50 workplaces available, monthly memberships will cost 50-120 EUR per place, Verslo žinios, the main Lithuanian business daily, reports. It has already struck partnerships with startups such as ITCity, Credital, WoraPay, TrackDuck, Bitcoinerbank, Dealoyal, Sharecruit, VectroPay, Welltrado and OTA Insight.

Barclays' Rise platforms have already been set in London, Manchester, New York, Cape Town, Tel Aviv and Mumbai, making Vilnius the seventh Rise site.

With a conference space for 100+ attendees, Rise Vilnius is expected to hold various startup and fintech events, as well as knowledge sharing sessions with other Rise sites. This Friday, the Rise and Hack 2016 Fintech Hackathon starts at the venue with 59 registered individuals, 9 teams and 20 mentors.
