Vilnius-Lithuania iGEM 2019 team invites you to take part in BioHackathon – the event where technology and biology meet!

For the second year in the row, Vilnius-Lithuania iGEM team organizes an international programming contest of life sciences. This year BioHackathon participants will have to create an app that would help to tackle the widespread issues of the following themes: biosafety and security of data, synthetic biology, lab efficiency, life sciences education.
During the 48-hours of hacking you will develop a project that would facilitate scientists’ daily life and improve the quality of scientific experiments. The experts of various fields will provide the needed support and mentoring helping your team to grow and succeed!

What to do?

• Gather the team of 3-5 members. We suggest that at least one of you should have biology knowledge, while others should have IT and coding know-how, however, there are no strict requirements – we encourage you to participate and give it a shot! If you think you need members with other expertise – feel free to create your own dream team. If you don’t have a team, we are still encouraging you to participate – the organizers will help you to form one during the event.
