Already this Friday on November 24-26th Anniversary Hacker Games will take place in University of Applied Social Sciences! This hackathon will be the biggest one, organized by Startup Lithuania this year. These Hacker Games will gather software developers, engineers, designers, hackers and everyone who wants to change the world by turning their ideas into actions.

Already over 180 participants registered for Anniversary Hacker Games! So if you have an exciting idea or simply want to help others make their ideas come true, you should hurry up and register here while it’s not too late.

We will have three international accelerators – 500 Startups, Rockstart and Startup Wise Guys! They will mentor, help you with your projects and participate in jury while choosing the winners. Thanks to our friends DXC Technology for helping us bring these special guests! We will have many other famous Lithuanian mentors who will advise you on hardware, software and games tracks as well. We will publish their agenda on Hacker Games Facebook event.

As always, we made sure we will have some really motivating prizes for our winners. First place winners of Software track will receive 600 EUR in cash from our friends TeleSoftas. Tesonet has ensured 400 EUR in cash for second place winners and super cool backpacks for third place winners. Deeper has ensured 2 fishing sonars for the first place winners of Hardware track. Also, we will have a special prize for one of the teams of Hardware track – 3 months Business Hive membership! Game track winners will receive 1000 EUR prize for an industry trip from GameInsight!

“Events like these are the perfect platform for independent developers in the Baltic states to show off their skills and build business relationships with representatives of IT companies, who come there in search of new talents and fresh ideas,” says Hacker Games partner, Antanas Mišeikis, Operations Officer of Game Insight, a global game developer and publisher based in Lithuania.

Game Insight spokesman believes that creative workshops are an enabling environment for less common IT sectors in Lithuania to grow, and thinks that “Hacker Games” may be the stepping stone for amateur game developers to cooperate and form professional game development studios. Creators of the best game project will be awarded a 1000-euro gift voucher for industrial travel.
