With MONAI we are stepping into the future, when all illumination will be based on circadian lighting technology. While usual illumination is just a source of light, MONAI is a source of light and better feeling. All people naturally experience different levels of sleepiness and alertness throughout the day. A group of cells in the morning send signals to our body to produce hormones which are associated with sleep. If the light is bright and blueish, the steroid hormone cortisol is secreted, and we are more productive. But in the evening we need different light, because at that time melatonin levels rise and stay elevated throughout the night, promoting sleep. MONAI helps to manage the different needs for light throughout the day. In 2015 MONAI got awarded at the Innovation Day organized by Agency for Science, Innovation and Technology (MITA). It is the main governmental institution, responsible for implementation of innovation policy in Lithuania. MONAI has been recognized the best in manufacturing processes, materials and technologies category. The award was given for ability to adapt the latest scientific discoveries in business development.
