In collaboration with BAT B Accelerator Tower, the leading innovation and entrepreneurship hub in Southern Europe, Repsol is launching an Open Innovation Challenge focused on robotics and automation for the inspection, maintenance, and operation of energy assets.

The challenge seeks autonomous and robotic solutions applicable to high‑value and high‑risk environments, with priority use cases including:

Cleaning, inspection, and coating of atmospheric storage tanks
Subsea inspection, particularly focused on welds
Robotic welding of pipes and isometrics, both in workshop and on‑site environments

The objective is to enhance safety, efficiency, and reliability in critical operations by reducing human exposure, improving inspection quality, and increasing the automation of complex industrial tasks in real operating conditions.
