NASA Space Apps Challenge – it is two days hackathon that unites space enthusiasts around the globe to solve challenges using NASA’s free and open data to address real-world problems on Earth and in space.
join all curious and bright minds: students, graphic designers, developers, UX/UI designers, data analysts, entrepreneurs, engineers, scientists, innovators, technology experts, communicators, marketers, activists of humanitarian causes and all space enthusiasts.
Teams will get:
- NASA challenges & space data (NASA, JAXA, etc)
- 2000 Eur prize fund for 2 Lithuanian winner teams
- 1-2 nominations for the NASA international competition
- Specials prizes of the partners
- Support from mentors & experts during event
Mentors:
- Arūnas Ungulaitis – artificial intelligence, communication systems, software architecture
- Ignas Daugėla – geospatial data, photogrammetry, data fusion, drone application
- Ignas Šlapkauskas – start-up & scale-up, project management, innovation management
- Gediminas Vaitkus – applied ecology, geo-informatics and remote sensing, automated geo-computing on open source systems
- Laurynas Mačiulis – orbital dynamics, space environment, project management, spacecraft & mission designMykolas Maldeikis – application of UAVs (drones/unmanned aerial vehicles) in urban analysis, big data collection and application, photogrammetry and 3D analysis, AI tools.
- Paulius Briedis – commercialization, manufacturing, hardware
- Simonas Kareiva – low Earth orbit satellites, amateur radio space communications, software and hardware engineering
