Industrial Symbiosis: Are you Aware of the Possibilities?
Feb 22, 10:00, 14:00

Event dedicated to sustainable and resilient economic practices! Let’s dive into the world of industrial symbiosis and the circular economy, exploring the principles, sharing success stories from Lithuania and beyond, and fostering discussions on new opportunities. It’s a chance to connect with forward-thinking individuals who share similar values.

In today’s economy, we’ve observed that businesses collaborating can yield more significant collective benefits than working as separate operating units. Competitors are increasingly becoming partners, pooling resources to make economically sound decisions that minimize waste and new raw material consumption. This shift in industrial behavior allows us to move away from the traditional linear production model of “take – make – use – throw away” and embrace modern industrial practices, saving resources, meeting circular economy goals, and reducing CO2 emissions.

Guests and Topics:
– “Industrial Symbiosis: Concept and Application” by Dr. Inga Matijošytė, Vilnius University.
