The co-investment fund “Koinvesticinis fondas” is designed to encourage development of the Lithuanian venture capital community.
The Fund provides state support for private investors (business angel groups, VC funds, etc.) investing in startups by capping its return to 6% (or 4% if the company is going to be listed on alternative market First North in Lithuania) annually during the investment period. Excess return is a premium to private investors who co-invest with the Fund and add value to startup by actively sharing their experience to develop it. The Fund is acting as a silent investor.
