Unive, a startup currently taking part in the Edu Challenger accelerator, has raised €410,000 to scale its AI-powered college and career counselling platform. The funding round includes €350,000 from venture capital firm Firstpick and a €60,000 grant from Edu Challenger, the startup accelerator powered by Startup Lithuania, and led by xEdu and Civitta.

Unive’s platform blends artificial intelligence with expert human support to guide students through the complex admissions process. By making high-quality advice more affordable and accessible, Unive aims to support students who are often priced out of traditional private counselling.

“As the cost of private admissions counselling has gone up in recent years, we see a clear need for tools that make the application process both efficient and equitable,” said Jonas Kavaliauskas, Unive’s Co-founder and CEO. “Our mission is to level the playing field by making high-quality college and career guidance accessible for all students, regardless of their financial circumstances.”

Currently serving applicants to U.S. universities, Unive plans to expand into Western Europe. Its platform helps students identify best-fit schools, refine essays, prepare for interviews, and find scholarships — with expert support from admissions professionals with backgrounds at institutions like Harvard, MIT, and Stanford.

The funding will be used to grow Unive’s engineering, sales, and marketing teams, enhance its AI capabilities, and broaden its international reach. In addition to its student-facing tools, Unive is also developing B2B offerings to support university recruitment and selection.
