Vercom, one of Europe’s leading providers of global cloud communication platform as a service (CPaaS) announced its acquisition of a leading marketing automation platform with 1.4MM+ users – MailerLite, and its subsidiary products MailerSend and MailerCheck.

The $90MM+ merger became one of the largest deals in Europe this year and will give MailerLite and Vercom a more global footprint to work towards a joint vision of providing best-in-class omnichannel communication solutions in the global CPaaS market. Vercom with the acquisition of MailerLite will be joining global CPaaS market leaders like Twilio and Sinch.

The acquisition of MailerLite opens up entirely new growth opportunities ahead of us. That means not only a jump increase in the scale of operations, but also a strong entry onto a fourteen times larger, global market. This also will ensure us the potential for further dynamic organic growth in the years ahead. With impetus we are joining the global CPaaS players, such as Twilio and Sinch. This is a milestone in the development of the company, says Krzysztof Szyszka, CEO of Vercom.

In 2025, the CPaaS market is projected to reach 21.7 billion U.S. dollars in size. As enterprises increasingly migrate to the cloud and adopt customized engagement applications, this market is expected to grow in the future.

“Today, people expect a seamless brand experience across all channels, and MailerLite is dedicated to helping businesses unify their marketing communications. We are excited to tap into Vercom’s expertise in omnichannel communication which will allow MailerLite to offer customers more exciting features like SMS and Push notification capabilities that integrate with email marketing”, says Ignas Rubežius, CEO of MailerLite.

Today MailerLite operates mainly in the US and Western Europe, which together account for more than 70% of the company’s revenue. MailerLite has over 1.4MM+ users in 180 markets. Over the past 3 years, MailerLite’s average annual revenue grew by 43% each year and reached annual recurring revenue of around $16 million.

MailerLite is an entirely remote company that employs around 100 people working remotely in over 30 international locations. MailerLite stands among the top 100 remote companies known for its unique remote work culture.

“Vercom and MailerLite are connected by similar values. Both of us have always worked to provide tools that remove the complexity for our users and help them overcome the challenges of communications. By combining Vercom’s infrastructure know-how and scalability with MailerLite’s digital marketing tools, we will achieve even higher deliverability and efficiency – all in a fast, secure and reliable manner”, says Krzysztof Szyszka, CEO of Vercom.

Together, MailerLite and Vercom will make a case to become the go-to platform for all of a business’s external communications, including email, Chat, SMS, voice and Push notifications.

MailerLite along with partner products, MailerSend and MailerCheck, share a common vision with Vercom that the future of business communications will be about building long-lasting customer relationships across multiple channels such as SMS, email, push notifications, and chat. With this merger, MailerLite is well-positioned to help all of its customers achieve their marketing and communication goals.
