My Agenda at the LOGIN Startup Fair
2016
May 01

LOGIN Startup Fair, the main startup event of the year, is looming large on the horizon. There are so many interesting presentations, workshops and events on the agenda… it’s literally impossible to see everything and guests need to plan carefully to get the most out of the event.

For this reason, we asked Reinout de Bleser, an exchange student from Belgium currently residing in Vilnius and an intern at Enterprise Lithuania, what he’s up to at the LOGIN Startup Fair this Thursday and Friday.

Thursday, 5th of May:

10:00-10:30. I’m not an official opening guy, to be honest with you. Also, I have little idea what binaural sound is aside from what I found on Wikipedia. However, it sounds intriguing, so a binaural sound workshop by LinkMenų fabrikas is I something I might start LOGIN Startup Fair from. LinkMenų fabrikas also has a CNC-cut pancake workshop which also sounds cool to pop in should I have enough of binaural sound 🙂

10:30-11:00. Whatever Vilnius Tech Map is, the mayor of  the Lithuanian capital is presenting it on the Conference stage at 10:30, so I’ll probably have a look at it. I love both Vilnius and its tech scene, so merging the two makes perfect sense 🙂

11:00-11:30. What 500k articles have to say about the reality of tech news today by a guy from The Next Web – definitely going there to get some insights how should one pitch major global tech news outlets!

11:30-12:30. Rumours are circulating that a Donut Lab pop-up shop will be present at the LOGIN Startup Fair with best donuts in Lithuania, so I’ll probably grab one and walk around the Startup Valley with 40+ startups. For instance, Neematic, a Lithuanian-made, 100 kmh-capable electric bike looks something I'd love to get my hands on, let alone dozens more products and services!

12:30-13:30. Startup Battle Semifinal batch 1. Can’t miss this. Epicwander, TableAir, Kindervibe, NeoSound and many more competing.

13:30-14:30. Either a quick lunch (Drama Burger should be there, right?) or a Serigraphy workshop by Padirbtuvės. Also, N-2 physics-chemistry workshop by BHV Generator starts at two o’clock, would love to see what’s there too!

14:30-15:30. Startup Battle Semifinal batch 2. There is a reason LOGIN Startup Fair has the 'Startup" word in the name, isn’t it? Drone Bender's: XFighter, Pocket Drone Kronos, Skillaz and 8 more startups pitching in this batch.

15:30-16:30. Green Garage, a makerspace I’ve already been to in downtown Vilnius, will have 3D printing, CNC-cutting and LED lamp making workshops, so I’ll probably get my hands on some of this!

16:30-17:30. Startup Battle Semifinal batch 3. ALTA, PulseTip, AirVision and others pitching. Would love to pitch one day too!

17:30 – …. ??? There’s hopefully… I mean definitely something cool taking place in the afternoon at Islandijos street, the entertainment triangle of Vilnius 🙂

Friday, 6th of May:

10:00-12:00. Recruiting at Speed by Uber’s Head of HR Linda Aiello. Got a ticket to this masterclass. I’m curious about how major, billion dollar startups such as Uber are recruiting as it’s a tremendous challenge for small scale startups, let alone biggies like Uber. Will snatch a burger or a sandwich after the seminar. Hopefully 🙂

12:00-13:00. Laser cut-engraved badge and magnet workshop at the Hardware District by M-LAB, possibly. Or watching drones racing somewhere at the venue. Or the Women in Tech presentation… We’ll see 🙂

13:00-14:30. A shuttle bus should be leaving for a tour at the Vilnius Tech Park, a startup hotspot due to be fully opened by December in a green, and yet very central neighbourhood of the Lithuanian Capital. Will probably join the preview tour.

14:30-15:30. Investors Panel Discussion on the Conference stage with top foreign and Lithuanian investors discussing challenges and opportunities here. Why not join the talks?

16:00-17:00. Julian Assange will be talking via Skype. Will probably have a look. Or a chat with people I'll be meeting 🙂

17:00-18:00. Startup Battle Finals at the Main LOGIN Stage. The core of the event, definitely. I wonder how should one feel when pitching in front of 2k-strong audience.

18:00-??:??. See you somewhere in the city! 😉

Obviously, this is only one of literally thousands of agendas one can compile from the vast pool of keynotes at the conference, dozens of workshops at the Hardware District or Masterclasses by Uber and Startup.lt, let alone the Startup Valley. Make your own today – LOGIN Startup Fair is about to start in a matter of days!

LOGIN Startup Fair is organised by Enterprise Lithuania and Startup Lithuania. Conference is powered by DNB bank, Startup Valley is powered by Vinted, Startup Battle is Powered by TRINITI and the Masterclasses are powered by UBER & Startup.lt.

LOGIN Startup Fair is a part of the EC initiative of Single Marker Forum.
