Lithuanians successfully finished Finnish accelerator
2013
Jun 28

RilBits and TrackDuck, two Lithuanian startup teams participated in a Finnish acceleration program Startup Sauna which happened earlier on June. Guys from Lithuania say it was definitely worth spending a month in that expensive (in comparison to Lithuanian standards) country called Finland.

Edmundas BalĨikonis, CEO at TrackDuck:

Startup Sauna accelerator had a great program for us – lots of workshops and coaching sessions with people who have done it and various experts. I would say networking and coaching sessions gave the most value to us in development of TrackDuck. Sauna brings together the best there is in Finland and North-East Europe – including Ilja Laurs of GetJar from Lithuania, who gave an amazing speech here. Right now we are testing our product also with local web agencies and looking to raise an angel round from Finish investors and that of course is also due to Startup Sauna. We are planning to incorporate TrackDuck and start selling firstly in Finland, with support of Sauna.

Roman Drokov, CEO at RilBits:

Best thing at Startup Sauna for our team was making useful contacts and networking. Finnish have a lot of people in every field and when we needed any contact in any company, they did all the calls and introduced us. Normally this would take us months to get in touch with some of the companies if we did all by ourselves and here we made all necessary contacts in a very short time. That was very useful, because we could pull full focus on the development of our product.

Startup Sauna is intensive one month acceleration and coaching program for 15 selected teams. At the end of program the Demo Day is organized and investors are coming to see what startups have prepared.
