Below you can find Helsinki visit impressions and comments from Lithuanian startups:

Mindaugas Zagorskis, CEO of Pipelinepharma:

“Slush is worth going in order to meet the potential investors in one place. Lithuania should look on the success stories of Estonia and Finland startup ecosystem and allocate more resources to start up community in order to achieve similar results. I believe that only after investing in Lithuania start up ecosystem investments can come back with more foreign investments, work places, etc.”

Artūras Jonkus, CEO of Rotten Wifi:

“Members of Lithuanian startup ecosystem could learn from Finns how to promote each other during such events as “Slush”, which is a well organised event with lots of opportunities to meet people you are looking for.”

Rytis Laurinavičius, CEO of Soundest:

“Perfection is always about details. I would say that “Slush” was almost a perfect event. Great job done by Finnish guys.”

Laima Kačinskienė, B2B Client Support of InsideWarehouse:

“I found “Slush” to be a very well organized event where one can easily tackle into overall trends of the world entrepreneurship. An event with more than 12000 people was a great place to see many faces and meet many people, I loved the fact that speakers, investors and executives were easily available to communicate with.”

Reda Štarė, CEO of PlateCulture:

“This is one of the best organized conferences I have attended. I believe the success came from the ability of organizers to attract great investors and promising startups at the same place.”

Šarūnas Legeckas, CEO of Place I Live:

“Slush” was a great conference showing how much startup stuff is happening in the Nordic region as well as how much interest this region attracts from all over the world. It was great to represent Lithuania in this context.”

Simona Andrijauskaitė, CMO of Cloud Mic:

“The most modern venue, clearly communicated and structured meeting area and the strong startup ecosystem's vibe. Slush was more than worth attending!”

During two days at “Slush”, Lithuanian startups had meetings with potential investors, business partners, clients, and showcased their products at the demo stands. Startups managed to establish new contacts with about fifty venture capital funds and angel investors from all over the world. Startup Lithuania Networking Lunch, organized by “Enterprise Lithuania” was attended by around 20 VC’s, angels and accelerators as well as Lithuanian Ambassador to Finland Arūnas Jievaltas.

This was not the first visit of Lithuanian startups to Finland. The participation of the most promising Lithuanian startups in “Slush” has been arranged by “Enterprise Lithuania” for the third time in a row. Several teams have been chosen and successfully graduated from the Finnish accelerator Startup Sauna. Members of the Finnish startups ecosystem also visited tech events organised in Lithuania.
