Change Ventures just announced about investments in three world-class Baltic startups. One of them become Lithuania’s Interactio which provides a simultaneous translation app that fully replaces interpretation hardware for live events.

Interactio raised 580K Eur from Change Ventures, Kima Ventures, Practica Capital and two business angels.

“We are very excited to work with people that believe in our vision. This investement will help us to scale our business in target geographies and hire strong talent to our team”, – says Henrikas Urbonas, CEO and co-founder of Interactio.

This is another success of Startup Lithuania as the initial contact between Andris Berzins from Change Ventures and Interactio team happened last year during the LOGIN Startup Fair where Startup Lithuania invited VC funds from all over the world and startups from the region for B2B meetings.

Another startups that are funded by Change Ventures are Estonia’s Timbeter which offers a smart-device solution for accurate timber measurement and data management that will revolutionize the timber supply chain and Guaana which reinvents the process of allocating scientific research grants with an online platform that is completely based on peer evaluation.

Entrepreneur-friendly and value-added Change Ventures is a seed stage venture capital fund that invests up to $500,000 in seed stage technology startups.

Change Ventures aims to be the first institutional investor, usually investing alongside angel investors. Their core focus is on startups in the three Baltic states and Baltic founders who have set up companies elsewhere  –  so called ‘Baltic diaspora’ startups.
